Wayne NJ Orthopedic Clinic Logs 100% Improvement Rate Across 23 Shockwave Therapy Patients

Wayne, United States - August 12, 2026 / Spectrum Therapeutics of NJ - Physical Therapy /

WAYNE, N.J. - Spectrum Therapeutics of NJ, a one-on-one orthopedic physical therapy clinic, has published a review of its real-world shockwave therapy (ESWT) outcomes, a level of transparency that remains uncommon among outpatient physical therapy practices.

The review covers 23 shockwave (ESWT) patients treated in 2026. Of the 17 who have completed care: 88% resolved or much improved (15 of 17); 70% fully resolved (12 of 17); 100% experienced at least some improvement; and 70% completed care in three or fewer sessions (12 of 17; mean 3.0, range 1-12). Across the entire group, not one of the 23 patients has required a cortisone injection or surgery for the treated condition - figures that reflect the clinic's documented shockwave therapy results.

Conditions treated included plantar fasciitis, lateral epicondylitis (tennis elbow), Achilles and patellar tendinopathy, and gluteal and hip tendinopathy.

The clinic also screens patient candidacy before billing for treatment. During the first application, the treating clinician looks for a biofeedback response at the treatment site - an indication that the tissue is engaging with the acoustic waves. Where that response is absent, treatment stops and the patient is not charged.

"Most clinics say they get results. We decided to publish the actual numbers, including the cases that did not fully resolve," said Dr. Rob Letizia, PT, DPT, owner of Spectrum Therapeutics of NJ, who has 25+ years of orthopedic experience. "Shockwave, delivered one-on-one alongside hands-on rehabilitation, is helping patients avoid injections and surgery for tendon pain that had not responded to other care."

The clinic notes the review is a single-clinic case series rather than a randomized trial, and that outcomes were recorded for every patient treated, not a selected subset. The ESWT success rate reported reflects the complete patient group without exclusions.

The figures form part of the clinic's physical therapy outcomes data in Wayne, NJ, compiled across 11 years of practice at the Wayne clinic.
